Fidel Castro!!!

F-I-D-E-L C-A-S-T-R-O!!!

One of the few "Dictators" quite a lot of people liked(forget abt US..for the record according to Cuban Intelligence ,The US tried to assassinate him 638 times...n all failed attempts!!)including his country men (n women ..??- i have always felt there shd b be a term called Country women or rather call in general Country-people???-do i sound very feminist???)

I Liked reading abt him a lot rather saying i liked him a lot!!( and all these info are compiled for what i read abt Castro thru various sites)

What tempted me to blog on Fidel Castro? The news that 81 year old Castro resigned after 5 decades of his rule as Cuban President (citing medical reasons)Successfully coming thru the economic embargo Imposed on Cuba until now..

But he did open 10,000 new schools, erasing illiteracy and building a universal health care system.

But liberties like right to strike by labour unions were taken away, independent newspapers were shut down and religious institutions harassed. Hundreds of thousands of Cubans have fled Castro's rule, many settling just across the Florida Straits in Miami.
But Still Cuba survived as a Socialist State which he declared on April 16,1961.

And i shd say he has Accomplished what he wanted for Cuba, being born n brought up in a rich family amid poverty surrounding most of the Cuban Families in twenties''
He went on to Study Law at the University of Havana n offered free legal services For the poor ..n then he was involved as one of the 150 warriors in Throwing out Batista...But the attempt resulted in a failure..then he as tried and jailed for 15 years..then he came out on amnesty after serving jus two years!!

Then he went to Mexico..as he had planned to train n group his men to throw Batista out of power. He met "Che" Guevara.. ,( My another admiration - reading abt him..will blog a lil later..may b next??)from where there was no turning back.. very interestingly he is not only a revolutionary icon but also a President who was always linked to some or the other controversies!

To cite a few..

1.I have read that he used to open up the borders to let Cuban people cross over the waters mostly to Florida..like in 1980 he let 125,000 people flee to Florida by boat through the Mariel port, west of Havana, when Soviet Union split n sent Cuban economy in to bad shape he again opened up the Borders!
2. He also ran a rough run with the Catholic church until recently in 1998 Castro Invited Pope John Paul II to Cuba..
3.In 1999, Castro launched an anti-U.S. campaign for the return of Elian Gonzalez, a six-year-old Cuban boy rescued at sea after surviving a shipwreck that killed his mother. Gonzalez then returned to Cuba in 2000 after his father flew to the U.S. to claim his son.
so But I have always have had an admiration for this Cuban President who smoked cigars in public, had 8 children with four women!!

"Mother " Understood!

For the first time in the recent past..i read a forward again and again and it made me feel every time more in a familiar territory!!!
sometimes i felt great.. awesome..sometimes happy to know that there's been people to forward nice things that indirectly tells what really a mother Means when v look back...

Personally, when i read the forward ,i pictured my MOM first n then Me in the same Scenario..I felt our Mothers have done all these more than us n very interestingly ...v as Kids have not bothered much to acknowledge them ,in a proper way!!Though v have always realised to a certain extent n Jus love our Momzzz...!!

But i started realising all the intricate feelings of a mother only when My LIL Baby Boy started growing up on to a Toddler!!!

Quite interesting though...v realise things only when v actually are in that particular shoe rather than "thinking to be in their shoes" n reacting...realising for a matter of fact though..

Now on to the Forward i received sometime last week which made me feel Phenomenal!!
Though ..i always do a run through on the forwards i recieve keeping one finger on the Scroll Key...!! :-)
My frens dont send Forwards on n off as i used to write them back.." Hey__________, How dare u are sending me useless forwards.?????."so they Think Thrice not Twice before clicking that FWD button to me..he he he

Now Enjoy The Forward ......

Mum and Dad were watching TV when Mum said, "I'm tired, and it's getting late. I think I'll go to bed"

She went to the kitchen to make sandwiches for the next day's lunches.Rinsed out the dogs bowls, took meat out of the freezer for supper the following evening, checked the cereal box levels, filled the sugar container, put spoons and bowls on the table and added all the mixture to the bread maker for hot bread for the next morning.

She then, put some wet clothes in the dryer and a load of clothes into the washer, ironed a shirt and secured a loose button. She picked up the game pieces left on the table, put the phone back on the charger and put the telephone book into the drawer. She watered the plants, emptied a wastebasket and hung up a towel to dry.She yawned and stretched and headed for the bedroom.

She stopped by the desk and wrote a note to the teacher, counted out some cash for the field trip, and pulled a text book out from hiding under a chair.

She signed a birthday card for a friend, addressed and stamped the envelope and wrote a quick note for the grocery store. She put both near her purse.

Mum then washed her face with 3 in 1 cleanser, put on her night solution & age fighting moisturizer, brushed and flossed her teeth and filed her nails.

Dad called out, "I thought you were going to bed.""I'm on my way," she said.

She put some water into the dog's dish and put the cat outside, then made sure the doors were locked and the patio light was on.She looked in on each of the kids and turned out their bedside lamps and TV's, hung up a shirt, threw some dirty socks into the laundry, and had a brief conversation with the one up still doing homework

In her own room, she set the alarm; laid out clothing for the next day, straightened up the shoe rack. She added 3 things to her 6 most important things to do list. She said her prayers and visualized the accomplishment of her goals.

About that time, Dad turned off the TV and announced to no one in particular.
"I'm going to bed."And he did...without another thought.

Anything extraordinary here?
Wonder why women live longer...?CAUSE WE ARE MADE FOR THE LONG HAUL..... and we can't die sooner, we still have things to do!!!!

The Forward ended on a funny note though...

Please send this to five phenomenal women today... they'll love you for it! I just did.THEN, GO TO BED!

Hope U Felt Phenomenal!!! --- if u were a Female...Sorry For Males..but hope u guys feel Phenomenal for what a Woman u'r MOM,SIS N Wife are !!!-:)
